CIDA’s Commission Seeks Accredited Program Representative
CIDA's Accreditation Commission is the group that makes all decisions related to the accreditation status of interior design programs. This includes, but is not limited to, final decisions on accreditation. While the majority of CIDA Commissioners have served as site visitors, this group does include a public member as well as a representative of CIDA accredited programs.
The Accreditation Commission is seeking candidates interested in serving as the accredited program representative on CIDA’s Accreditation Commission for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2026. Prior service as a site visitor is not required. This individual must meet the following qualifications:
Full-time faculty member with responsibility for oversight and coordination of an interior design program currently accredited by CIDA.
Qualified by education and experience to administer a CIDA-accredited program.
Has served as the interior design program coordinator during a CIDA accreditation review.
Has either passed the complete NCIDQ exam or is a professional member of an interior design professional association.
Is familiar with and supportive of CIDA's mission.
