States Katherine Ankerson, AIA, FIDEC, FIIDA, NCARB, CIDA Board Chair, “CIDA is continually evolving how it examines the future relative to accreditation standards. This year, in addition to looking at trends impacting industry, we are distilling interior design’s value and modeling its future potential. The ultimate aim is to land on educational priorities for future interior design graduates. The community at large will be consulted as CIDA uses Future Vision results to craft accreditation standards throughout 2021. Revised accreditation standards are slated for publication in January 2022 with an effective date to be determined.”

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation is an independent, non-profit, accrediting organization responsible for setting standards and evaluating degree-granting interior design programs. There are 175 CIDA-accredited programs in the U.S., Canada, Qatar, and the UAE.

CIDA gratefully acknowledges Future Vision sponsor Allsteel.
